While in the midst of traveling all over the country to record his all-star thrasher dream trio's GRAMMY NOMINATED cd release "songs from my father"during the first year of the 2020 corona virus, which would feature Chick Corea, Kenny Barron, Patrice Rushen, Larry Goldings, Geoff Keezer. Ron Carter, Buster Williams & Christian McBride, Gerry also searched all over the country for what would be his NEW THRASHER PEOPLE band.The search for the right chemistry and commitment would take him all over the country.The long mission was finally complete in 2022, when the new GERRY GIBBS THRASHER PEOPLE BAND WAS FORMED.
